In the case of a live cetacean:

Photograph or record a video of the cetacean and attach the visual material to the Report Form. Focus on the head, body, and its movements in the water.

In case of a dead cetacean:

It is necessary in any case (even if the cetacean is in advanced decomposition), after cleaning its body of algae and sand, to take at least the following photographs:

Head with mouth open, so that teeth are visible.
The entire animal photographed from the side, so that the entire lateral surface of its body is visible.
Genital area, located in the lower and posterior abdomen.
